In this Ep titled 'Wild Fire' Lion D and Ras Tewelde, two of the most known italian reggae artists, revive four roots tunes thirty years after their first release (1982 - 2012). This Ep is part of a wider recording project due to be totally achieved in autumn 2012.
'Wild Fire' means to be a tribute to the great artits in the past, who made the history of foundation and dj style in the 80s as Dennis Brown, John Holt, Lone Ranger, Brigadier Jerry, Mighty Diamonds and Chaka Demus & Pliers.
The purpose is to think back to reggae music history and at the same time to bring younger generations closer to the simplicity and the positive message of music in those years. For this reason the two singers wished to be photographed in the same pose as in 'Wild Fire' album by John Holt and Dennis Brown and also wished to maintain the same sound as in the original tunes: as a matter of fact all riddims have been played by Livity Band, Magister at the keybaords, Ricky Gibertini and Marco Zaghi, former members of Reggae National Tickets and Nina Zilli's current musicians at wind instruments.
