we are organizing a talent show in jamaica, in st ann s bay on the north coast, in association with 2 studios of the region, one of them is the cut stone studio where perfect ,chezidek and zamunda started their career..
we want to shoot a video of the talent show to show it abroad to some sound systems and reggae radio shows, so that they can pick up their favorites and play them on their sound, the selected artists will give a tune for free in exchange of the promotion and exposure..we are going to do a pre-selection and keep 10 to 15 artists , make them rehearse with our band , and organize the show in a professional manner ..
this is supposed to become a regular event , and the sound systems abroad can provide riddims for the artists as well if they like..
everybody is delighted for the cultural exchange, everytime i carry riddims from abroad to jamaican studio krews, they are very glad, this contact with the outside world full of reggae fans is vital for them, as vital as it is for the people outside that see jamaica as a musical mecca!
