FEAR
THE RIVER
I took a walk last
night
confusion ruled my mind
like when you wake up in a dream
nothing seemed to rhyme
sometimes it's hard to find,
some sense, a clue, a strategie
all my worries
they never felt so strong
'guess it's time to set a course,
and find a thing to head upon
wasting time
has lasted far too long
a drowning man clutches at a straw
but the current can be awful strong
fear the river
it takes you to the sea
it makes you loose the ground,
the ground under your feet
when the shore
gets slowly out of reach
when the water gets too deep
when the water gets too deep
youth lasts for a while
then gets lost in time
somehow gets lost allong the way
I wish that I
had stayed a child
it's sad that one day children stop to play
LETTER
IN THE MAIL
a sudden lonelyness, something incomplete
I couldn't get to sleep last night
too many worries kept me from nice dreams
I really fucked it up this time
it's too late to say I'm sorry
it's too late to show regrets
time is just a one way street
you can't turn it back
it's too late to say I'm sorry
I know that I'm the one to blame
now I feel sad since the moment
when I watched when you walked away
things you can't recapture
things you can't get back
like a letter in the mail
full of words which you regret
I tried to call you for a thousand times or more
you don't pick up the phone
and left the roses which I put before your door
their colors fade, I feel alone
SOMEWHERE
I GOT LOST
a different subject
a different truth
different questions lead to
lead to different clues
a road to nowhere
through a world bizarre
in search for reasons is like
searching in the dark
somewhere I got lost along the way
faith won't last forever
the more I learn, the more I get astray
each day the world seems to turn faster
who wants to help out
wants to release
a bird locked in it's cage
cause someone lost the key
with every step it seems
there's something in the way
no crime committed, but we
we all have to pay
WHEN
FEELINGS RUN TOO HIGH
you loose, you win, you search, you find
you put your stakes a little high
it's like a war where no-one dies
it's like a dream which won't go by
when feelings run too high
all warning signs simply denied
forget what's wrong, don't care what's right
inside the hunger, an empty space
it's like a toy, you've got to play
when feelings run too high
now every morning
every day
every single night
I think about you
the ice is thin so don't forget
to keep on moving with careful steps
it's like a twister which won't subside
in search for shelter, no place to hide
when feelings run too high
precious moments get lost in time
brushes last just for while
don't want to think, it's not the time
right or wrong, it's not the time
when feelings run too high
WHERE
THE CAR PARK ENDS
The day is done
I feel a little tired
it's time to go home
I face another hour of driving
but today there is something strange
can't really tell what's the difference
a glow has turned into a fire deep inside
I get in my car
put the key in the ignition
I lean back and wait
oh, I've got to do some thinking
today might be that day
no more waiting for tomorrow
no more waiting for tomorrow from now on
(chorus)
where the car park ends
I should turn left, now I turn right
I won't go home where it's safe and warm
just leave it all behind
got my passport with me
my credit card will last for a while
tomorrow I'll be far away
I'm gonna drive all night
the night is still young
veins are flooded with desire
inside a feeling so strong
takes the wheel and lifts me higher
maybe a little out of line
maybe too much 'all or nothing'
but when the day breaks, watch me
wings will be unfold
