Dubmatix wins the Juno Award for Reggae Recording Of The Year 2019
Dubmatix wins Reggae Recording Of The Year for the album Sly & Robbie meet Dubmatix “Overdubbed” (Echo Beach) at the 2019 Junos Gala Dinner & Awards. CBC Music’s Julie Nesrallah and Billy Talent’s Ben Kowalewicz hosted the 2019 Juno Gala Dinner & Awards live from the London Convention Centre on March 16th. The Juno Awards are presented annually to canadian musical artists and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music.
Congratulations to Dubmatix from our side. Well deserved price for an amazing album!

Wie gut dieser Dubmatix ist, kann ich zumindest auch dadurch unterstreichen, das die gleichen riddims schon mal “gedubbed” wurden. Als Sly and Robbie Fan habe ich die auch aber es waren Flops. Erst Dubmatix hat die selben riddims von und mit Sly and Robbie zu Dub – Überfliegern gemacht. War auch in einer gewissen Dub-Scene schon mal die Scheibe des Jahres.

Auf jeden Fall. Die Sly & Robbie Dubs, die dem Album zugrunde liegen waren eher Standard oder gar langweilig. Jesse hat so viel dazugefügt, dass es (fast) komplett eigenständige Dubmatix-Tunes wurden. Hammer-Teil. Jesse schrieb mir neulich, dass Sly auch gratuliert hat.
