(Select Cuts/EFA - 2002)Das dritte Kapitel wird gleichzeitig das letzte sein. Die Fangemeinde wird definitiv trauern und gleichzeitig mit dem besten Teil der dreiteiligen Serie beglückt. Wieder wurden alte Klassiker aus dem Backkatalog von Blood & Fire durch den Wolf gedreht und von so namhaften Künstlern, wie der Groove Corporation (hervorragend: ihr Mix von Big Youths "Waterhouse Rock"), Disciples, Pressure Drop, Henry & Louis, Kaleidoscope, Smith & Mighty, Watershell und anderen in neue Kleider gepackt und damit in die Gegenwart gebeamt. Die Resultat sind dabei noch besser als es die Vorgänger der beiden ersten Alben schon waren. Bestechend ist z.B. die Version von "Ragga Muffin Style" im Original von Jah Stitch und hier im Mix von Pressure Drop, die bereits zum ersten Kapitel mit ihrem Mix von Glen Browns "Version 78 Style" den Vogel abgeschossen hatten. Extrem clubtauglich sind der bereits erwähnte Mix von "Waterhouse Rock" sowie Prince Allahs "Great Stone/Lot's Wife" im Remix von Dreadzone, um nur zwei aus dieser Sparte hervorzuheben. Etwas ruhiger geht es da bei den Remixen von Watershell und Henry & Louis zu. Schleppender, psychedelischer Dub der ersten Kategorie wird hier dargeboten. Es ist also für Jeden und Jede etwas dabei. Zusätzlich gibt es limitierte 12-Inches mit exklusiven Mixen. Ach, und noch ein Grund zur Freude: "Select Cuts From Blood & Fire Vol. 3" gibt es sowohl auf CD als auch auf Vinyl! Die Veröffentlichung dürfte also eine Weile für Furore sorgen!
The third chapter will be at the same time the latter. The fan community, happy and sad at the same time, will be rewarded with the best part of the three-part series. Again old classical tunes from the backing catalogue of Blood & Fire were remixed by considerable artists, as the Groove Corporation (outstanding: their mix of Big Youth's "Waterhouse skirt"), Disciples, Pressure Drop, Henry & Louis, Kaleidoscope, Smith & Mighty, Watershell and others. The results are sometimes even better than the ones on the proceeding two albums (listen to the Remix of "Ragga Muffin Style", originaly done by Jah Stitch, done by Pressure Drop. They had already added an outstanding mix of Glen Browns "version 78 Style" to the first chapter of "Select Cuts From Blood & Fire". As mentioned above, "Select Cuts From Blood & Fire Vol. 3" is a great album to recommend to everyone out there, who enjoys Reggae in a dub-style!
