Crowdfunding for vinyl releases?

Maybe the best idea for young producers and artists to work independent from the so called majors? Or just a way for labels to avoid risks?

From my point of view, crowdfunding for vinyls is a great idea, because the discs will be pressed only if enough people pre-order it. Check out this campaign by Dubophonic netlabel, Dubfounder and Mexican Stepper…big up the dub activists!
