Global Reggae Charts – Issue #12

Global Reggae Charts – April 2018

Here they are: The results of Issue #12 of the Global Reggae Charts. Cover artist is Etana, and we learn that her name comes from Swahili language. What it means, you’ll find within the magazine. Featured personality this time is Mathieu – or Mat -, founder of a label – the French Baco Records. The little company produces, publishes and distributes own stuff like Danakil, supports French national newcomers like City Kay and cares about Alborosie when he’s playing live here in Germany.

In terms of album charts, Etana entered them with her fresh release, but: There’s also a considerable number of votes DJs and radio hosts dedicated to Alam and Vibronics – worldwide! There’s also a little surprise to discover and a lot of albums we talked about here as well (Havana Meets Kingston, Sly & Robbie meet Dubmatix, Jesse Royal, Hollie Cook, Richie Phoe, Damian Marley, Lee “Scratch” Perry found or held their positions in the charts), and you can read more about the albums here in Irieites.de. Among the singles, the title track of Mellow Moods “Large” entered the ranking.
